Fill, encode, and decode compact form messages.
Use this page as the primary working surface for MicroGrams. Select a shared form, fill it out, create a compact payload, transmit it through your chosen text path, and decode received payloads using the matching form definition.

Important: Sender and receiver must use the same form definition and version. The raw MicroGrams payload starts with
F!. Optional station or group addressing is added only to the transmit line. MicroGrams generates datecodes using UTC.Typical character planning targets:
APRS message: about 67
SMS GSM: 160
SMS Unicode: 70
Meshtastic conservative: about 200
General low-bandwidth: about 240

For location fields, use state, tactical area, or Maidenhead grid when possible. Put town, address, landmark, or extra detail in the comment only when needed.

Use spaces to separate the Form ID, answer string, prompt fields, comment, datecode, and authentication code:
F!### ANSWERS ST[value] GR[value] comment #DATE AUTHPrompt fields use a two-character name followed by a value in brackets. Example: ST[OK] GR[EM15] CT[CANADIAN]. Formatting repair can restore likely separators, but it cannot recover characters that were lost or changed.
